Boat trips from Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés

Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés are on the south coast and Puerto de Mogán, where our boats leave from, is on the south-west. It is the same coastline: the GC-1 and then the GC-500, which runs along the sea through Arguineguín and Puerto Rico. A little over half an hour by car, and there is a bus along that same coast — check the times on the day, they change with the season.

Why people cross half the coast to sail from there

Because the south-west sits in the lee of the trade winds, sheltered by the island itself. The sea is usually calmer and the water clearer than off the open south, and that difference shows up in exactly what you came for: swimming away from the shore and being able to see the bottom.

And because west of Mogán the road stops. Cliffs, coves and beaches with no way down — Veneguera, El Perchel, Güigüí — and the only way to look at them is from the water.

What to book

A private boat, by the hour

The whole boat with a skipper, for as long as you want it. Two of you or the whole group, same price, nobody else aboard.

Güigüí, the beach with no road

Half a day, swimming and snorkelling in water you will remember.

Something short

Parasailing, or a coastal run with a swimming stop. Both work if you are driving back the same afternoon.

Making the day work

Leave margin: the trip along the coast plus parking is not the moment to be rushing. Mogán is small, the pontoon is close, and that margin is easily spent walking around the canals.

Leave a phone number too. If the sea turns we move your trip and call you — and when you are driving over from the south, that is the difference between changing plan in the morning and making the trip for nothing.
